The bed was lovely and it was great having an electric kettle, a personal safe and central heating.

Had a real good time. Reasonably clean hotel, I liked excellent and attentive staff. Central location of this lovely family run venue was a bonus. It took only 15 minutes to walk to Derry Cross South bus stop.

The location was a highlight, close to both the Barbican and the Hoe, and I appreciated the view of the sea from my room. The breakfast selection was excellent, with delicious options that were fresh and well-prepared. The room was tiny and poorly designed with outdated decor. The shower was unresponsive, and there was a noticeable lack of hospitality from the staff during my interactions.

The staff could not do enough for us, they were so friendly it was like visiting friends. Nothing was too much trouble. close to the city centre but right on the hoe you get best of both worlds being near the sea as well as the convienience for the shops and restaurants.

As the hotel wasn't busy we were uprgaded automatically. The room was comfortable, a minor fault was fixed quickly. Breakfast was good with reasonable choice.Staff were helpful and friendly.
The function room below the hotel plays very loud music which can be heard throughout the hotel. Guests at the function smoking outside make a lot of noise which can be heard in the rooms making it difficult to sleep.

I stayed at Invicta for one night and found it enjoyable. The location near the Hoe allowed easy exploration. The breakfast offered was really good. Climbing up to my room was a bit challenging without a lift.

Staff were attentive, restaurant facilities good, plenty of hot water for shower, easy access to the rest of Plymouth city on foot.
The hotel is quite noisy, it is impossible not to hear activities in rooms adjacent and especially avove, this is even when guests are walking around. Floors are creaky and could do with someone screwing the flooring down, doors all bang shut because they need the fire regs door closers changing for the modern soft close type.
